The Venue

The French Horn Summer School takes place in the village of Llangenny, near Crickhowell, Powys, Wales.

Accommodation is at The Firs at Pendarren House (NP8 1HE), which has shared dorms with en-suite bathrooms.

Rehearsals take place in the local Church and Village Hall. We also have the opportunity for outdoor rehearsals, surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside including the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park.

If you are travelling by train, there is a direct train from London Paddington to Abergavenny, with a journey time around 3 hours. One of our staff members will be able to collect you from the station on arrival.

If you are travelling by car, The Firs is located just off the A40, between Abergavenny (10 mins away) and Crickhowell (5 mins away).
